ChatGPT Business vs Claude, Gemini, and Copilot
ChatGPT Business and Claude Team both list a standard seat at $20 per user per month on an annual plan. Gemini is usually already inside Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365 Copilot is either an add-on or a bundle with Office. For eligible companies in Mexico, Peru, and Chile, Kemeny Studio can make the first ChatGPT Business account free for 48 months.

Match the assistant to the stack you already pay for
ChatGPT Business
A shared workspace for teams of 2–200, with SSO, connectors, and Codex. Pick it when the assistant should sit beside your tools, not inside one suite. Eligible companies in Mexico, Peru, and Chile can check the 48-month partner seat before paying list price.
Claude Team
The same shape of seat price, with Claude Code on every seat and a cap of 150. Enterprise above that is $20 per seat per month plus API usage, billed annually. Strong when the team’s daily work is coding and long documents in Claude.
Google Gemini
If you already pay for Workspace Business Standard or Plus, Gemini in Gmail, Docs, and Meet is not a second invoice. Buying it only as an AI seat, when you do not want the suite, is the wrong comparison.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
The deepest grounding in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Budget both numbers: the AI add-on on a plan you already have, and the all-in bundle if you are buying Microsoft 365 and Copilot together. Copilot Chat on an eligible plan is $0 and is a narrower product.

How much does ChatGPT Business cost?
OpenAI lists ChatGPT Business Standard at $20 per user per month billed annually, or $25 billed monthly. Premium is $100 annually or $125 monthly: 5× the usage of Standard, with no 5-hour limit. Teams start at 2 seats and self-serve up to 200. Enterprise is custom. These are US list prices and they change. Confirm on openai.com before you buy.
Is Claude Team cheaper than ChatGPT Business?
At US list, the seats match. Claude Team Standard is $20 per user per month annually, or $25 monthly. Premium is $100 annually or $125 monthly, and Anthropic describes Premium as 5× Standard. Teams run from 2 to 150 seats, and Claude Code is included. The difference is the product, not the sticker. Prices vary by region and can change.
Is Google Gemini a separate subscription?
On Google Workspace Business, Gemini is folded into the suite. It is not a separate Gemini Business SKU. Annual US list is $14 per user per month for Business Standard and $22 for Business Plus. If you already pay for Standard or Plus, the assistant is $0 on top. Starter is $7 and includes a narrower Gemini, mostly in Gmail. New-customer promos can be lower.
How much is Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Two ways to buy it. As an add-on, Microsoft storefronts list Copilot Business at $21 per user per month paid yearly, with a first-year price shown as $18 through 31 December 2026 for existing Business customers on an annual commitment. As a bundle, Business Standard with Copilot is $23.50 and Business Premium with Copilot is $32, paid yearly, and that price includes the Office suite. Confirm the number in your region.
Can the first ChatGPT Business account be free?

Which assistant fits a company already on Microsoft or Google?
